Travel the World in 80 Hours Between September 7 to 10, 2024 I will be part of team that aims to cover enough distance to circle the Earth. My goal is to contribute an average of 75 km (45 miles) by walking, running, biking, swimming. What do you do if your child needs hospital treatment, but your family lives far away? With just 16 specialty children’s hospitals in Canada, many families must travel long distances to access medical treatment for their sick child. When families learn their child is sick and requires hospitalization, they are forced to leave their homes, families, jobs and community support at a time when they need them the most. That’s where Ronald McDonald House Charities steps in, providing a place for families to stay together, steps away from a children’s hospital. RMHC takes care of families, so families can be there for their sick child. RMHC provides families with a place to stay, where they can sleep, enjoy home cooked meals, do laundry, be supported by other families, and receive the care that can help make their journey a little easier.
