In an average year, RMHC supports 26,000 families. Ronald McDonald House Charities make such a big impact on so many families each day I want to be able to contribute to that. In March 2019 my 3 year old niece was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease. This disease causes swelling in children in the walls of small to medium sized blood vessels that carry blood throughout the body. Kawasaki disease commonly leads to inflammation of the coronary arteries, that supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart. After watching this innocent little girl go through this was one of the most heart breaking things I have ever experienced, but RMHC was able to support her and her family the entire time. RMHC provides private bedrooms, meals, laundry, and families also have access to supportive programming like pet therapy, music therapy, fitness programs, yoga, meditation, and many others. RMHC is a place many call home and will always need and have my support.
