Team Alberta McHappy Day Hero 2022

Calling all past RMHC families. We invite you to join our team and become a McHappy Day Hero to help raise much needed funds on McHappy for families travelling for vital medical treatment for their sick or injured child. We invite you all to join our team, set up a fundraising page and raise $87, the equivalent to $1 for every family suite across our four Houses in Alberta. As a special thank you for supporting us we will also offer the following prizes! • Fundraisers who raise over $100 will receive a McDonald’s tote bag • Fundraisers who raise over $250 will be entered into a draw to win an exclusive McDonald’s prize pack! Please share your fundraising link with your friends and family and ask them to support you and help other families with sick or injured children staying at an RMHC Alberta House. Since the first Houses were built in Alberta in 1985, we have supported tens of thousands of families. Every year, thousands will stay at one of Alberta’s Ronald McDonald Houses. These stays can last up to a few nights, or as long as several weeks or months at a time. Each Ronald McDonald House has private family suites for families to rest. The Houses have open kitchens where families can sit down and share experiences over a homemade meal. The sense of community enables families to rely on each other and shore up strength when they need it the most. Almost 70% of Canadian families live outside of a center with a children’s hospital – meaning that they will need to travel in order to access medical care. A Ronald McDonald House will save a family hundreds to thousands of dollars on accommodation, transportation, meals, laundry, parking, and so much more. Having a Ronald McDonald House close to the hospital – as in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat – is an important part of family-centred care.
