RMHC Canada Welcomes Three New Board Directors

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada is excited to announce the appointment of three new members to its national Board of Directors. Together, their leadership, dedication and professional expertise will help RMHC better support our mission and vision across Canada – helping families with sick children stay close when it matters most.

Our most recent appointees, Simone Alleyne, Denise Hansen, and David Fuller join a talented cohort of RMHC national mission champions. On behalf of families with sick children across Canada, we are grateful for their generous partnership and leadership.

Meet our newest Board members:

Simone Alleyne – Senior Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Culture and Change, McDonald’s Canada

Simone Alleyne has been part of the McDonald’s Canada family for 38 years and leads the company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. As Senior Director, DE&I, Culture and Change, she is a thought-partner and trusted advisor to the company’s leadership team and responsible for the development and implementation of proactive initiatives that build diverse teams, create inclusive workplaces and communities, and foster equity at every point across the McDonald’s business in Canada.

Simone brings multiple skillsets to the RMHC Canada Board, having held multiple roles throughout her career at McDonald’s across operations, human resources and change management, as well as served as the chair of the Women’s Leadership Network. She’s known as a creative and strategic thinker who balances her lived experience, curiosity and instinct to solve complex business challenges, and a people-first leader who inspires a high-performance and respectful culture. She’s also a certified professional coach who helps people lean into their strengths and break through barriers.

Simone is a firm believer in the power of diversity and equity to transform organizations and create inclusive environments where everyone can work and live to their full potential. She brings a passion for accelerating meaningful change and making a difference in the lives of families.

Denise Hansen - Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, McDonald’s Canada

Denise Hansen is the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at McDonald’s Canada – RMHC Canada’s founding and forever partner. As CFO, Denise provides strategic financial oversight and leadership to the company and McDonald’s franchisees, and has overall responsibility for Finance and Insurance.

Denise brings 30 years of diverse experience in Canada, the U.S. and abroad to the RMHC Canada Board. She joined McDonald's in 2021 as the Vice President of Finance and Controller of the US business, overseeing Financial Planning & Analysis, National Field Finance, and the Real Estate & Development, Economic Policy, Supply Chain and McOpCo Finance Teams.  Before joining McDonald’s, Denise served as the Vice President of International Finance at Conagra Brands, where she was responsible for the company’s international finance organization encompassing operations in more than 50 countries.

Denise is passionate about helping families in times of need and is honored to provide support for an organization that is so vital to the healing process.

David Fuller - Operating Partner, Searchlight Capital Partners

David brings a unique robust background in organizational operations and transformation within the technology and telecom industries to the RMHC Canada Board of Directors.  David is currently an Operating Partner with Searchlight Capital Partners, a Private Equity company.  He also currently serves on the Board of Directors at Consolidated Communications, Ziply Networks, KORE Wireless, and Mitel Networks. 

Previously David held a number of senior leadership roles including the President of Rogers Wireless, and the President and EVP of TELUS Communications where he led the Consumer and Small Business division. Previous to TELUS, he spent 15 years in the management consulting industry with a number of firms, culminating in the country managing partner role at KPMG Consulting. Passionate about community and lending his expertise to a diverse range of companies, David has also served as a Director of Great-West Lifeco, MindBeacon Health, Enstream LP, NEXT Canada, The Royal Conservatory of Music and the Board of Trustees of the Ontario Science Centre.  

David is excited to join a dynamic and talented board at RMHC Canada and has always been inspired by the RMHC mission.  He looks forward to contributing to the critical services that RMHC provides to the families of sick children across Canada.
